Ways You Can Help

There are several ways to support Munsey's Mission in our fight to rescue survivors of animal experimentation.  You can make a difference by donating to our sanctuary, becoming a vegan to reduce animal suffering and death, using products that are not tested on animals, volunteering your time and skills, spreading the word about the cruel reality of animal experimentation, and considering adoption if you are looking to welcome a new animal companion into your life. Together, we can make a positive impact and create a future where animals are no longer subjected to the cruelty of experimentation.

Every single dollar makes a difference.  Donate as much or as little as you want.  All donations are tax deductible as Munsey's Mission is a non-profit organization.  501(c)3.

BECOME VEGAN

Becoming a vegan is extremely satisfying, knowing that no animals suffered just so you can eat certain things that you're used to eating. It's been estimated that becoming a vegan saves the lives of between 100-200 animals per year.
Even simply cutting out meat from your diet is a huge step in the right direction.  It's great for your health and great for the planet.  If you or someone in your family isn't ready to cut meat from their diet, buying from a local co-op or natural food store will give you the option to buy naturally and humanely raised meat.  These stores also sell certified humane eggs, where the chickens are truly cage free, not eggs simply labeled as cage free when that term can be misleading.  We recommend watching the documentary 'Speciesism: The Movie' to put into perspective what becoming a vegan means to the lives of animals and the planet.

USE CRUELTY FREE PRODUCTS

There are more and more options all the time to purchase household products and cosmetics that are NOT tested on animals.  Cruelty free is the term most commonly used on products that are NOT tested on animals.  Natural food stores often only carry cruelty free products.  In the past few years, even the big supermarket chains started carrying many of these products and the prices for these have come down drastically.  Usually there will be a Leaping Bunny logo or rabbit with big pink ears logo to signify cruelty free on the back of these products.

Be aware that MOST household products and cosmetics are still tested on animals.  Traditionally, anything that comes into contact with our skin has always been tested on various species of animals.

VOLUNTEER

Contact us to see if there are any volunteer opportunities.  Often we need someone who has experience building things or putting up fences.  Once we have begun rescuing animals, then we will have need for people to spend time with the animals, getting them used to kind people, grooming them, feeding, that kind of thing.

SPREAD THE WORD

Please tell family and friends about our cause.  Talk about it on social media.  Encourage people to get involved in the fight to end animal suffering in countless labs and universities across the country and the world.

SHOP

Once the sanctuary gets up and running in the coming months, we will have products for sale at our online store.  The sale of these items will of course go towards being able to rescue more animals!   Please check back occasionally to see if the store has opened!
